East Indians UAE (Mobaikar)

In the year 2005 Mobaikar East-Indians Community UAE was formed with the help of few enthusiastic East Indians & their families residing in the United Arab Emirates consisting of seven Emirates.

The East Indians of Bombay are the true original inhabitant of Bombay (Mumbai).Their mother tongue is Marathi. who have lived on the islands of Bombay, the island of Salsette, Chaul and Thana for Centuries, the current government is ignoring the very backbone that has made Bombay what it is today.

Our aim is to bring together all the East-Indians spread across the seven emirates and keep the candle of tradition burning by way of celebrating various events. To begin, the first ever Bandra Feast was celebrated by East-Indians from all the emirates with over whelming response from every individual. The event was fun filled day with various games, housie, novelty dance & to add to the taste was a traditional East Indian food like vindaloo, serpotel, salted tongue, wedding pickle, Fugias & East Indian music too. Bringing back their long lost memories back. Proceeds from all our programmes are sent for different charitable organizations in Mumbai. Since the year 2005 there is no looking back for us. There after we celebrated Bandra Feast 2006 / 2007 & Bandra Feast 2008.We also celebrated Feast of St Bonaventure – Madh Island (Erangal Feast) 2007 on 9th of February. First ever East Indian Marathi Singing Competition in the Middle East was organized to celebrate the event. The response was over whelming.
