MOBAIKAR EAST INDIAN COMMUNITY UAE celebrated ERANGAL CHA SAN 2010.

Erangal Cha San 2010 was celebrated in UAE, on Friday, 09th April 2010.  The EIC UAE organised the ERANGAL CHA SAN celebration & 4th East Indian Marathi singing competition at AJMAN BEACH HOTEL, AJMAN, UAE.   Around 450 guests mostly East Indians from all the 7 Emirates and a few from abroad came together to celebrate ERANGAL CHA SAN 2010.

Thanksgiving masses were offered on Friday, at St. Mary’s Church, Dubai, St.  Michael’s Church, Sharjah and St. Mary’s Church, Al Ain.  The sea front venue and surroundings refreshed memories of Erangal beach, Madh Island, Mumbai. Lovely ladies dressed in traditional East Indian Lugras were a pleasant sight to see.  The guests were given a traditional welcome with fugias prepared at the entrance.  They also enjoyed East Indian Wedding pickle and Vindaloo.   The crowd enjoyed tasty snacks accompanied by cool refreshments sponsored by Al Marai and were kept entertained by MC Wendyl D’souza. The East Indian brass band ‘Dhankya Mani’ and well known DJ’s  Steven & Godfrey supported by DJ Sabby and  DJ Styn kept the crowd on their toes.  It was a fun filled day, with loads of gifts, lots of games, prizes and surprises for the big and small alike which lasted till late night as the crowd enjoyed to their best.

The East Indian Marathi Singing Competition was tough and the winner of the rolling trophy this year was Mr. Maxwell D’mello from Gorai (Max).

MOBAIKAR EIC appreciates with thanks the kind support of all our sponsors  who helped us in organizing this event successfully.   Also thanks to one and all, not forgetting our singers who joined us in celebrating THE ERANGAL CHA SAN 2010 and making it a grand success.  Hope to see you all at our forthcoming AGERA CHA SAN 2010.  GOD BLESS
